Farflung Unlimited is a free geography trivia game for curious map explorers. Tackle five clues about capitals, borders, languages, and other country connections. Find one country that fits each clue, then see how far your answers take you.
Use the unlabelled atlas to place your answer, or find a country with search. Several countries may qualify for the same clue. A correct choice earns kilometres, while a less familiar qualifying country can take you further. After each round, the field notes reveal other answers and explain what connects them.
Choose Classic for a 60-second countdown or Wander for time to think. Play the Daily when you want a shared challenge, then choose Play Unlimited to keep exploring. Finish five rounds, review your route, and start again whenever you like. It is free, and you can play without an account.

Read the clue and its note, select a country on the map or search for its name, then press Confirm Country. Your answer becomes final when you submit it. Read the explanation and explore the accepted countries before moving to the next clue.
Yes. Play Unlimited starts a new five-clue game without a fee or account. Finish a journey and start another as often as you like. The bank contains 209 prompts and cycles through a shuffled queue.
Correct countries earn 40, 55, 70, 85, or 100 kilometres according to their fixed familiarity tier. Less familiar countries can earn more distance. A wrong answer, skipped clue, or timeout earns zero. Five rounds have a theoretical maximum of 500 kilometres, although some clues have no 100-kilometre answer.
Classic gives you 60 seconds to submit each answer, including time spent in menus or other tabs. Wander removes the countdown so you can think at your own pace. Both modes use the same country-selection and distance rules.
Yes. The Daily offers the same five clues to everyone and changes at midnight UTC. Unlimited is available alongside it, and starting an Unlimited journey keeps your Daily attempt separate.
Progress is saved in the browser where you play. You can resume an unfinished journey on this domain, but saves do not sync with other devices or other Farflung websites. Clearing this site’s browser data removes its saved progress.
